Not all domain providers offer the same service. You'd think that registering a domain would be a straight forward process -- and that all there is to it is to search for a domain, pay for it and gain total access over the domain you've just purchased. Well, unfortunately, even though TriOrbit offers such a service, many other domain main providers do not.

You have providers that restrict your access. Many providers lock your domains so that you can't move without contacting them first. It's usually the same providers that falsely advertise domains at low prices, and once you're in the middle of the registration process with your credit card in your hand, there's a little star * that says "minimum 2 year registration" -- and of course, the second year isn't the same prices as the first.

Then, on top of that they'll insist that you should pay for extras that you get for free anywhere else (ie: like at TriOrbit). By the time you've checked out, you've purchased several "extras" and your $6.99 "limited time only" domain has somehow cost you two or three times that amount.

Transferring a domain with other providers can be nothing short of a nightmare. It is not uncommon for customers to pay for the transfer of a domain to another provider, just to find that the transfer was rejected. It is usually the previous provider that has made the process for transferring the domain difficult -- and it is usually because the domain is locked. Of course, to unolock the domain, you have to contact that provider.

Then you have providers like TriOrbit. When you register a domain with us, your domain is not "locked" -- TriOrbit gives you the access to lock and unlock your domains as you please. We don't see a need to lock a domain away from the person or business that actually owns it.

Our prices are as advertised. The only extra cost is to Australian residents who must pay a 10% GST, as we are an Australian owned business, and physically located in Australia. We haven't set up our service to try to sell "a bit of this and a bit of that" to you. We do one thing: We sell domains. Our domain console isn't filled with ads extras and "deals". So when you navigate the console, the menu isn't confusing because of the "poking and prodding" to purchase something else.

If you decide that you'd like to move your domain from TriOrbit to another provider -- well that's your prerogative. We're not interested in restricting your service. If you want to move -- you want to move! Right? Why should we make it difficult?

The TriOrbit domain management console allows you to freely move "your" domains to wherever "you" want them to be registered, and you can transfer domains in and out freely. For extra security, if you want to lock your domains, you can -- and you have access to do that yourself.

Of course, apart from all of the above. You should consider what you're paying for your domain. TriOrbit doesn't have any hidden costs or "extras". We simply provide all the access you need, and we charge exactly what is advertised.
